Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame
Ceremony to recognize retirement of debt On October 8 at about 1:00 pm, fast time, the Hall of Fame/Coaches Association will have a ceremony to recognize the retirement of the debt that more than doubled the size of the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame. This note was paid off in four years thanks to donations from many inductees, retired coaches and contributors. A plaque will be unveiled that lists the names of those who made monetary contributions to this debt retirement, and will be permanently displayed at the Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame inductees and retired coaches are invited to share in this brief, but so very important, ceremony. A letter of recognition will be read from Governor Daniels and the First Lady, Cheri Daniels (she attended our dedication ceremony in October 2007). Due to prior commitments neither can attend this ceremony, but wanted to share in some way, thus the recognition proclamation. Hall of Fame inductees and retired coaches are encouraged to share in this joyous event. As an added attraction prior to the ceremony an autograph session will be held at the Hall of Fame with pitching great Tommy John and current Cubs pitching coach Mark Riggins signing. Funds from the signing will be shared between their foundations and the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame. The signing will begin around 10:30 am fast time. It is possible that other current players may join the signing session.
