Al Pilarcik

Al began his professional baseball career joining
the Yankee farm system in 1948 at Independence, Kansas where he batted
.299. He proceeded to climb every rung of the professional ladder,
from Class "D" to Class "AAA" in just seven
seasons. In 1956 he joined the Kansas City Royals and in 57 the
Baltimore Orioles where he played all three outfield positions. Al
closed his professional career after the 1961 season as a member of
the Chicago White Sox.
After retiring from professional baseball he spent
twenty seasons as a high school varsity coach. Currently he resides
near Schererville, Indiana.
