Birthplace: Hanover College, IN

Since taking over the baseball reins at Hanover College in 1970 the Panthers have recorded 617 wins, the most victories in school history in any sport. Still at the helm, Dicks teams have captured four conference championships, including the inaugural of the ICAC in 1988, plus two NAIA District 21 titles. His 1992 squad posted 41 wins, a school record. Five Hanover players have been selected in the Major League draft since 1986.

He was one of only three Americans to serve on the International Baseball Association Technical Commission during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. The group was responsible for the organization and staging of the entire Olympic baseball competition. Dick has a wealth of national and international experience. He was recently appointed baseball chairman for the International University Sports Federation. He has been an integral part of the USBA, now the USA Baseball, serving in many capacities at the state and national level. He has served as the administrative liaison at the Goodwill Games in Seattle, games coordinator for the USBA Super Series #4 , and was a member of the U.S. Olympic Festival Baseball Task Force.

Coach Naylor believes in getting Indiana players to participate at Hanover as shown by the 99 team which has only three players from out of state. He is Hanovers winningest coach.
