Marvin Groh
Coach - Bloomington High School -
Deceased Coach Groh was
responsible for beginning the high school baseball program in what was then the only high
school in Bloomington. He served as the coach of the team from 1948 until 1972. He retired
in 1972, the year that Bloomington won the state championship. Over his 25 years of
coaching he won 82% of the games he coached, making him on of the winningest high school
coaches in Indiana, with a record of 352-76. Before his retirement he was involved six
state tourneys winning five sectionals, four regionals and one semi-state title leading to
the state championship. |
