West Lafayette, IN

Fred retired from the West Lafayette School System after 30 years of service in 1995. The last 15 years Fred was the Athletic Director for the Red Devils. He currently resides in San Diego, California.

His baseball career started in Dallas, Texas where he played high school ball and later attended Indiana University where he played baseball for coach Ernie Andres, a 1999 Hall of Fame Inductee. After college he was hired by the West Lafayette system to coach and teach.

Fred coached baseball at West Side for 17 years winning five sectional and regional titles. Perhaps, he is the only coach in Indiana with a perfect 10-0 record in regional games but did not win one semi-state game.

Fred now enjoys following the Padres and travels around the world.
