Education: Bachelor's degree, Georgetown College, 1955; master's degree,
Indiana University, 1960 Career record: 440 wins with 210 losses.
Seven sectional winners, four regional winners, two semi-state winners
and one runners-up for state title. In 1981 Ken's Ben Davis High School
team won the state championship. He played professional baseball for
eight one-half years with the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis
Cardinals organizations. IN 1952 he placed seventh as outstanding
student of American Baseball Congress National Amateur Baseball. Bob
Feller won the award. IN 1980 won the John "Casey" Etchison award for
Connie Mack Baseball. In 1981 he was selected Indiana High School coach
of the year. 1980-81 was coach for the North-South All Star games. Five
time Marion county Coach of the Year and four time Conference Coach of
the Year. In 1988 Ken was inducted into the Indiana Baseball Hall of
Fame. Ken has also been inducted into the Georgetown College Hall of
Fame.
